T.V.X.L (Title Variable X and Line) is a series of paintings conceived as an experiment. I was looking for a way to forefront material. In hindsight, I was searching for an understanding of the painting as an object. The X or repeating line motif is a surrogate image that facilitates an object-oriented search for metaphor.
